Over $50 insurance

Question
Hi
I'm mailing a package tomorrow. I can't do my label with Paypal. I have to take the package to the post for a correct weight.
I'm going to use the blue insurance receipt for over $50. It has tracking numbers on it.
My question:
Does this take the place of d/c in Paypal's eyes for proof of delivery?
Or do I need to use d/c too?

Answer
You won't be able to track the blue insurance numbers.
Used to, but no more.
So, as I understand it, you will need to spring for DC as well.

Answer
Patty, anything over a certain amount, instead of getting the D/C, I get the signature confirmation. Cost more, but worth it for me. Signature Confirmation™

Signature Confirmation provides the date and time of delivery or attempted delivery and the name of the person who signed for the item. It may be purchased at the time of mailing only. Mailers may retrieve Signature Confirmation information with Track and Confirm or by calling 1-800-222-1811. A delivery record, including the recipient’s signature, is maintained by the USPS and is available, via fax or mail, upon request. No acceptance record is kept at the office of mailing.
Signature Confirmation it available for: Priority Mail and parcels mailed as First-Class Mail, Parcel Post, Bound Printed Matter, or Media Mail rates.

Answer
Thanks for the info. Package has been mailed.
A friend took it to the post for me. It was 10lbs going from coast to coast and would you believe Priority was only .80 cents more than Parcel Post?
So he sent it Priority.
Usually there is a substantial difference.
