Question
Has anyone used this company for shipping?? please let me know what you think..
thank you

Answer
A couple of my suppliers use them. The driver leaves the shipments sitting in the middle of the driveway by the street.
As a result I don't anticipate using them.

A while back I used DHL for large 30x30 boxed chandeliers, and a few big lamps. All arrived at destination without damage or delay. Price was cheaper than UPS ground. And the drivers pick-up with no strings attached (without having to sign up for an account) which is even better. And they simply send you a bill in a few weeks, so you don't have to pay ahead of time or anything.
Answer
I wouldn't TOUCH any part of DHL. They don't care about how their drivers are driving. We've called numerous times about the drivers out here-going 55 in a 25mph dead-end residential street(it's long). Trying to rear-end us in a 35mph zone because they were in a hurry. Passing on a double-yellow line and doing it just before a blind curve. And a BIG etc-their drivers are too dangerous for me to even THINK of giving them any business.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with DHL.
I've had surly drivers (one actually argued with me in the driveway about the package not being mine. It was for someone else and I tried to give it back to him to take it to the right house. After a being chewed out and told it's not his fault if I don't want the things I ordered, I had to walk the package on foot to the right home). Blehh. UPS is much more professional.
I had a vendor that switched to DHL and not one single delivery (out of dozens per month) ever came on time. Their tracking number system sucks, too.
So--I looked at their website once to see what kinds of perks they offer to shippers. None. That I could find, at least. But then, that's probably my fault, too.
Answer
wow, I guess their driver hiring criteria needs attention.
The driver I had patiently waited 10 minutes for me to finish up a package. But maybe he was the one speeding thru MGC's neighborhood later on...

I don't use them personally, but we do use them quite a bit at work.
One of our vendors uses them for overnight shipments. Of the last 5 times we've had things shipped overnight--guaranteed 9am delivery--two of the shipments have been late. Not horribly late, just 30 minutes or so. But for us, that's catastrophic. The repairmen make up their schedules right after the 9am delivery. If the parts aren't there at 9am, the service call doesn't happen for another 24 hours.
The second time it happened, I called the vendor and was a first-class bitch. Told 'em we paid for 24-hour turnaround and they needed to deliver. The vendor ended up sending another part by messenger and sending a tech out from a neighboring town.

I've recieved packages from them, from others. They were fine to me. Walk in, sign here, they're out of there. Not a problem. No damages. And I don't play in the road so thier driving suits my needs...

I use them at work all the time. Both for shipping and recieving. I've never had a problem.
