Oh #$%^*&!! Is it Great Britain or England? What's wrong with United Kingdom now?

Question
I recently got a message from Endicia after I upgraded to the latest release. Seems United Kingdom is no longer acceptable; in fact I was informed USPS will not even deliver a package addressed anywhere with "United Kingdom". I was advised to use Great Britain or England.
So what's the difference?
My eBay sales' record doesn't even support either GB or England!
In fact, I seem to vaguely remember 5 or so years ago a push to make "UK" the designation of choice and it was to write GB or England on a package!!
What's the deal?

Answer
Got that warning "popup" on Friday...

Answer
United Kingdom is still listed as a choice in the Postage Calculator on USPS. It does have and has for some time (Great Britian) after it as in:
United Kingdom (Great Britian).
So, who knows!!

Answer
Great Britain is the collective name for the three countries of England, Scotland and Wales.
The United Kingdom is made up of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

So why is GB ok and UK is now (according to Endicia) not??

Answer
For the customs forms, United Kingdom has not been allowed for at least the last couple years, and you could not use it for the customs forms. We have been giving a warning on using United Kingdom on our labels for the last 12-18 months.

Answer
I checked with the Post Office and they said United Kingdom was standard, though they also accept England or Great Britain.
