I need to ship 7 lbs. of old magazines. I know that I can't ship them Media Mail because they contain advertising. Will they qualify for Bound Printed Material? If not, is there another method that would be less expensive than Parcel Post?

BPM is the right one.

Bound Printed material is the way to go. If they are very very old you can use Media Mail but post offiices vary on that. There's not a lot of difference in price between the two. If you want them back if they can't be delivered, be sure to mark the package "Bound Printed Matter" "Return Service Requested". Otherwise, they will be thrown away if not deliverable.
