(I just got the OFFICIAL letter today by snail mail from the USPS telling me that they were closing. Wonder if they'll send me another snail mail letter telling me to ignore the first one... )

That's great news! I rely on it when the PayPal version is on the fritz and I need to get packages out.
I got the snail mail letter the other day too. Glad I wrote my little note to my local post master who probably didn't even have a clue what I was complaining about lol ... but did tell them to pass it on to the higher ups.

Just two hours ago I was whining to my rural carrier about the closing -- she didn't even know SA existed.
(But she does manage to get my receipts round-stamped every day. )

Me. Too. Oh, joyful day!!! I tried the eBay/PayPal one again today and it's good BUT you ruin the second label with it unless you print a 2-up and then the label is real small. Also, when I created it yesterday for today the Pitney Bowes program put the wrong date on the label (yes I'm sure I selected correctly, the entry in PayPal even shows the correct date). Sure hope that they don't change their mind and pull it later. I am soooooo excited!

Good. I use it too but not as often as I did. I mainly use Paypal's label service.
I've been trying to use the one on the USPS website and the past several
times it hasn't worked for me.
I just checked and I have Adobe reader 4.0 and it says I need to use 5.
I guess I need to download the newer version.

Would someone mind posting the link to Shipping Assistant? I can't find it on the USPS website.
After I gave up on Clickstamps and their damn double charges and print spooling errors, I've been using ClicknShip but I'd really love to be able to do 1st class and parcel post online too.
