Well, I knew it was coming...
Looks like express and ground is going up across the board... including the [!*#$%] residential surcharge and the [!*#$%] delivery area surcharge.

The letter I received leads by stating "The percentage-off discounts you enjoy with FedEx will not change."
Whoop-de-doo ... a whopping 5-12%... and it isn't any good for home delivery.
If my local FedEx ground guy didn't do me so many favors, I don't think I'd ever ship with them!

I ship with whoever can get the best rate for my customer. In most cases FedEx beats USPS & UPS hands down for packages over 2lbs.

Fed-Ex insurance goes up as well. Effective the first week of January the insurance rate will be $1.50 minimum fee up to $300 of coverage and .50 cents thereafter.

Fortunatly, I use U-Pic...
And a reminder that FedEx ground insurance does NOT cover any antiques over $100.
