Question
Was wondering if anyone knows if USPS will be doing a special package this year as they did last year. It included some priority mail boxes, but most importantly it had a roll of Tape!
Answer
I think the rolls of tape are done as I hear it anyways. They seem to be behind on their fulfillment end of Priority boxes too. I ordered 400 in the last month and have'nt recieved them yet. Could be a problem there...
Answer
Well I know they did away with giving out tape about 18months ago. However last year they made up some kind of package because of all the military personnel overseas. I was hoping they would have had it again this year so I could order a bunch for the rolls of tape. By the time I found out about it last year, the program was over with and I didnt get a chance to order any. I've only got 1 roll of tape left!
Answer
Had I known priority mail tape was so desirable to so many sellers and that usps was gonna do away with it I would've saved all those I had. When I moved from a large 2 br apt years ago into an efficiency for financial reasons, I had about 50 rolls of the stuff and I didn't like them because they stunk. I can't remember if I'd ditched them or if they were in the batch of stuff I left at the post office in the middle of the night. Shoot, I coulda held onto them and sold them as collector's items. lol

LOL Their tape doesn't stick very well. But hey, Free is Free. Plus when using a brown box, using the tape makes it alot easier than having to put enough priority stickers on. I got the labels on the roll.. think im going to just start using those as replacement for the tape LOL

I did a little research, here is what I found:
"The United States Postal Service is offering free packing materials to
spouses and families of military members who are deployed overseas. To
take advantage of this service call: 1-800-610-8734 and press 1 (for
English & then 3 for an operator) and they will send you free boxes, packing
materials, tape and mailing labels. These products are to be used to
mail care packages to service members.
You can also access this information by going on the internet:
supplies.usps.gov (no www.)
You can order every item you'll need except for the Priority Tape. You
have to call the 800 number above to receive tape."
Answer
I still have 14 cases of Priority Tape left (504 rolls). Almost worth their weight in gold. I was sending about 250 a week in Priority until my stock base changed. I gave 6 cases back to my local PO when they ran out and I was offered a car for what I had left last week. We are getting ready to start mail order again so better put them in the office vault. Wouldn't it be weird if we got broke into and the only the missing was tape? Our last order of 10 cases they sent Express and I got them exchanged just in time. Also large mail order companies can still get them. If you ship pallet loads of priority you may be able to get it. I don't have the contact info but if I get it, I'll pass it on. Thanks joe
