Nothing should be open before 1 PM at the very earliest. The only exception should be service clubs that open for vets and serving military at 9.

I'm pretty sure everything is shut. (Well in Bris anyway). I saw today that Myer are closed all day, and if anyone was going to be open you'd think Myer would be up there.

Pretty much everywhere is shut. The only places that will be open will be little indepedent grocers, restaurants, and perhaps a takeaway and the movies.

I think (from previously working in retail) that alot of shops do actually open, just after 11am.
Obviously banks etc are closed as its a public holiday.
Most shops only close all day on Christmas Day/Good Friday..

In my city (a tourist town) I have found they always close Xmas day, Good Friday, Labour Day and ANZAC day... but things do change, I would say less shops close these days than used to

Most shopping centres (in Sydney) should be open from 1pm til about 5-6pm.Just check out the shopping centre's websites.
Rhodes shopping centre + IKEA are open from 1-7pm.

I know that Myer will be open tomorrow from 1pm-6pm.
Otherwise post offices and banks will be closed.
