Question
I'm begin (and stay on topic, promise!!)
I'm at work at the moment. I don't normally work the weekend and I was meant to be going away so I really don't want to be here (the girl who normally works the weekend went away . . . I'm jealous )
We start at 9. The first patient *just* finished with the dr at 10. Her comment to me when I politely asked if she could please make a longer appointment time with the dr if she wanted to see him for an extended time? (I know this isn't always possible)
"Oh, its the weekend though. No ones really in a rush on the weekend so I thought you would have more time. You close at 11 anyway, so you can't have that many people booked in."
ooooooook.

argh. saturdays are full of ppl who have moved into houses...only to discover they forgot to organise power..on a long weekend.
ive also gotten hysterical woman threatening me... telling me that they have a sick and dying child (they bring this up as the last resort cos ive said no... no power for you today)...and they have to have the elec and ill be responsible if theyre kid dies.
no. your responsible for your kid. and if i was a mother with a sick child who needed elec...i would be a little more organised for the sake of my child.
phew. bad day this morning!!
Answer
^^ thats low to say they have a dying child. Lets hope they are never in that situation.
Anyway.
Short rant but im still annoyed. I work at Maccas one shift a week to help pay the bills and arrogant people come up to me and speak slowly because being at McDonalds, im clearly not that bright. Add to that a boss who thinks he is Gods gift and it does not make a happy day.
Yeah boss, keep being ignorant. Just let me be there when you realise you're funding my university education and the only job you've held all your life is McDonalds. (:shift: that was mean.:lol
My peeve for today though is people that come up to the counter, order their food and when i turn my back to get it, they waltz off to a table and look at you expectantly. If you're old or disabled, ill play the role of your waitress. Heck, if its quiet i may even offer. But if its lunch rush and you are clearly able, dont expect me to bring you're tray to the table. What makes you so special that you cant carry you're own like everyone else in the restaurant?!!!
PHEW. Take a breath

when people used to do that, we just screamed at them from the counter/register saying "excuse me, you forgot your food!!!". all the other customers look at them like and they look like idiots
if they ignore me, then i just leave their food there and continue serving. i really don't care especially if they are obviously not hindered in anyway to carry their own tray of food

Today was soooooooooooooooooooo busy!!
I had a lady (who had been in about 5 times trying a dress on already) come back to buy it. She was with her mother, and the lady was lovely but the mother was a wench!! She went and grabbed a top off the rack... RRP$229 marked down to $99... Obviously when something is over 60% off you can't expect it so be in PERFECT condition- it had some pulls in the silk. Anyway, she brought it over to the counter....
HER: Its got pulls in it. Give it to me for $50 and I'll take it
ME: Excuse me?? That top is already 60% off.
HER: So, it's got a pull in it
ME: Sorry, I cannot give you that for $50.
HER: Hmmmmmmfph!!!!
Then the daughter bought the dress and we put all dresses over $450 in these nice garment bags... As I handed the daughter the bag the mother stormed over...
HER: We only get one??
DAUGHTER: Um, mum, I bought one dress.
HER: But what about my dress?? I guess you can just keep this one then.
DAUGHTER: Thats great mum, considering that this is my dress!!
The poor daughter rolled her eyes and walked out... I can imagine what a fun and stress free wedding that will be
Answer

Same here!!
on the last topic about 'doing a deal'(i will be VERY CAREFUL HERE), i used to work in a discount pharmacy and this guy came in and spoke to my boss.
CFH: How much is the blood pressure machine? (it's got a MASSIVE SIGN saying $120)
Boss: It's $120
CFH: Can you do better than this?
Boss: No I cant... it's on special already from $150
CFH: Come on!!!!!
Boss: Really.. I cant... this is the lowest price i can go...
CFH (pulsed and whispered): what about UNDER THE TABLE mate?
Boss: (a little shock but being a quick thinker he went under the counter table and yell): UNDER THE TABLE? it's still the same price mate!
By this time the pharmacy was full of ppl and all the us (SA) just turned around and laughed behind the counter..
Of cos the guy took off and never came back..
