I just wrote an essay on World of Warcraft gamers to eschew the social dangers of the up-and-coming phenomena.
Does anyone have any stories about online gaming that they want to share. I am so interested in it.
I actually got into playing just before I wrote the essay but I am not, thank god, a die hard player!

Ugh yes A few of my guy friends are absolutely obsessed with it! I couldn't count the amount of times I gone over and been showed how to play it. As much as I expressed that I was not at all interested, they just HAD to show me how awesome it was. One of these friends has actually stayed up for three consecutive nights-zero sleep, playing this game. I saw him on the third day, he wasn't looking good..stupid video game or whatever it is..

Haha, re no girls on intraweb. In WoW it is more accepted if youre a girl.. or from Australia... its very interesting. A lot of different people are on WoW: more so that Everquest, its predecessor

Counter Strike, its a first person shooter? Or at least I think thats what those genre of games is called.
It's just so hardcore having a female gamer around a male dominant environment. I Don't blame them for freaking out, I would too if I herd a female voice out of no where.
But ever since I turned into a mac head, I stopped gaming entirely. Not that I miss it much to be honest.
Arcade games on the other hand, man they are addictive

Think there was a thread recently about this.. my hubby does for hours and it drives me nuts. He will stay up all night playing it and sleep all the next day which is unfair on me and the kids.. mainly me cuz I have to do everything
But I have Zone Alarm and I block access to the internet for WOW every few days so he cant get on. He thinks its the servers problem but at least it makes him have a break

My bf.. he plays non stop. Its exams now, so he's gone cold turkey for about 4 days now. Once he uninstalled the game and the next day, he reinstalled it! Whats the point of that? He has this thing, he cant leave the game because it'd be like "dishonouring" the team or something just another excuse to play for another hour or so

Yeah when WOW first came out my boyf was on it all the freakin' time!!! I had a go at him a few times about it but he kept playing. He got his Step Dad playing it and his brother as well My boyf has been a gamer since the first game ever came out though He even owned his own game shop and then a franchise of a farily big chain store type game shop.
He hasn't been playing WOW lately though because he got all his characters up to the best you can get and he has been playing Battlefield 2 a lot instead. He loves first person shooters. He's also an expert CS player
