i needed some help...
well i am planning to import my Toyota Corolla 2004 to india...
i wanted to know how much Costum Duty will be imposed on me by the Indian Government??
here are the details of the car-
Company- Toyota
Name- Corolla
Year- 2004
Original Price(@ which the original owner got)- $15,500
Month of car purchase(by original owner)- April, 2004
Resale Price(@ which i got)- $ 9,750
Resale Date(by me)- July, 2006
can someone please tell me how much tax would i have to pay when i take this car to india?!?!
and,
will the price be different if i transferred this car to my brother at half price and then bought it again from him at even that half price??
i mean will the tax (or custom duty) lower then?!?!

and who will i have to contact for shipping of the car?!?!

Customs duty is very high in India for car imports. Its a better idea to sell it off here and buy a Toyota Corolla there. That way you get the warranty too.
