Hi,
My parents have got their Visa now the next headache is to get a Good Visitor Insurance for my parents. After going through some of the threads in this forum, now I am REALLY confused about the insurance and some of the terms such as Pre-existing. I would be really grateful if some one could give me some Honest suggestions about buying an insurance.
My mother is a diabetic patient. She is on diet and medication for last few years in order to control her sugar. Now my question is, If she comes here and she gets sick which may be beacause of high sugar. In this case I may have to take her for some treatment. if the doctor/hospital determines that the sickness is because of Diabtes, Will the insurance pay the doctor's bill as well as Prescription cost? If yes, which insurance and what kind of insurance? If no, what will happen in that case? Will I end up in paying the whole charge? As you guys know that the cost of health care is so expensive here that all my savings may go in just one visit to an emergency word in a hospital. How do people handle this? I really dont want to buy a cheap insurance and suffer later.
My father is normally healthy but you never know there could be something which he is not aware of this. What will happen in case he gets sick here and doctor finds something which is Pre-existing?
What exactly is this ambiguous term PRE-EXISTING? What all comes under PRE-Existing? Which insuarnce will take care of this Pre-existing conditions?

What you have described would be considered as pre-existing conditions and would NOT be covered by any insurance plan from any company anywhere. You will have to pay for it yourself.
